General Flock Info: Since starting in 1999 the flock has developed into moderate sized, easy keeping, functional Suffolks that offer a complete package: structural soundness, natural fleshing ability, muscling, longevity and superior maternal traits. The focus is heavy on maternal traits, loineye and leg (the prime cuts) and then work on keeping the rest of the body balanced. It is important to us to produce stock that is appealing to the eye on the hoof as well as on the rail. The flock continually weans around a 200% lamb crop, which includes the coming yearlings. Growth records are kept on all lambs. Ram lambs will be scanned for loineye measurement and expected to weigh around #200 by mid September.
