History of the Montana Suffolk Sheep Breeders Association The Montana Suffolk Sheep Breeders Association was formed in 1981 with Susan Quist from Clyde Park, Don and Maureen Cleveland from Fairfield, Tom Shaughnessy from Corvallis, Tom Grimes from Cascade and Cliff Abbott from Livingston as officers and directors. They formed a show and sale that was held in Livingston until 1986 then the show and sale was moved to Billings during the fair. The last show was held in 1993 and the last sale was held in 2002. Pete Knutson from Clyde Park was the auctioneer for our sales. Our first directory was put together in 1994 and it still being printed today. A Ewe grant for Montana kids was established in 2006 with 18 ewe grants being given to date. |
